How long before the smell of color oops goes away?

WHERE can I get 2 inch (or bigger) hot rollers? Heard Clairol & Remington made them, but can

Need hot rollers that make loose waves or just body, like when I "blow out my hair" with the blow dryer and a big round brush - it ends up straight but Victoria's Secret volume-y. Would LOVE to get that w/ the ease of BIG hot rollers since I'm a busy mom and never have time to do my hair! Sometimes I see hot rollers with a couple big oones and many small. Have thick hair - need all big, but don't know where to find... Regular hot rollers leave me looking like Shirley Temple. THANK YOU !!!!

WHERE can I get 2 inch (or bigger) hot rollers? Heard Clairol %26amp; Remington made them, but can't find online...

Im looking for the same thing. I bought the 1.5" ones but they are still a little too small. I also bought the velcro big ones but am looking for HOT rollers that BIG BIG size. Ive done lots of searches on the Internet to no avail. The largest Ive found so far are the ones I have. Thanks in advance!

Hairstyle for square/oval face?

Hi, I'm 19 years old, but I look 16-17ish. I'm asian (Indian-subcontinental) so I have a tanned complexion. My face is fairly square, slightly oval-ish. I have natural black hair but currently dyed very dark purple, and spiky towards the front. I'm getting tired of it. My hair is pretty thick and it's hard to maintain a clean spiky look because it get muddled easily. If I cut it any shorter it doesn't stand out much. I use L'oreal texturising fibre glue gel. However I don't use a hair straightener or blow dryer. Frankly I'm lacking ideas and the know-how.

So I need advice for suitable hairstyles, if possible with pictures. Please give me tips how I can maintain the hairstyle on my own, what products I should use, should I dye it a different colour, etc. I'm from London, UK, so if you can please recommend a good salon.

Thanks.

Hairstyle for square/oval face?

the hairstyle in this web id will suit a square and oval face with black hair

http://hairstyles.free-beauty-tips.glam....

Hairstyle for square/oval face?

Sorry I couldn't choose the best answer out of only two because neither applies to me. I'm a guy, I think short spiky hair and my avatar should have made that obvious. Both answers have only to to with women. Unbelievable.. Report It

Hairstyle for square/oval face?

I have the same oval/round/square face and recently cut my hair into the pob, before victoria beckham had her pixie crop. i think it will suit you as well, makes my face smaller.

it is very easy maintenance, i just add some serum or smoothing creme and then blow dry my hair straight with a paddle brush or round brush and it stays straight. My hair was also thick, but now i got a cut more flatter looking in shape, it feels ok, without too much weight in my hair.

What should i do?

ok i have a bit longer than shoulder length hair, a big head with receding hairline, my hairs kind of thin, and its usually kind of straight but turns proper straight after a couple of days, only if i dont wash it....i usually do a pony but i'm bored n my hair looks relly ugly if its not straight, but thats wen its kind of greasy...i dont have straightener or blow dryer...what easy hair style should i do??

i'm 14 btw

What should i do?

try low pigtails, or cutting in some bangs ( that'll help conceal the receding hairline) .

What should i do?

You can do is cut off the spilt ends and use Pantene and there is Sunsilk and Dove! Try pinning up in a bun!

Slight curl to straight; how?

After I wash my hair and if I just leave it, it gets curly.

And it's not a pretty curly, but like a messy curly and it just makes my hair feel and look thicker than it already is (otherwise I wouldn't mind it).

My hairdresser says I should straighten my hair with a blow dryer,

But how do you do that?

I've tried but it still doesn't work.

I could do it to someone else but not to myself.

Also, is there any type of product or special something I can use to tame my hair down more?

Thanks.

:]]

Slight curl to straight; how?

You should buy a good flat iron,my hair very curly,so I bought the Solia flat iron about a year ago and it made my hair very straight, here are the reviews:

http://www.folica.com/Solia_Tourmalin_r1...

Here are reviews for another great flat iron called the Sedu:

http://www.folica.com/Sedu_Ionic_Cera_r1...

But be very careful!Any kind of heat styling can damage your hair,so make sure you deep condition every week, even if you don't use flat irons.

Hope this helps!

Slight curl to straight; how?

My hair is straight and gets slightly curly after taking a shower as well. My advice is to air dry your hair, then put hot iron protection gel in your hair. Next, use a straight iron on low to medium heat depending on the thickness of your hair. Finally, use a use a little mouse to keep your hair from getting frizzy. I hope this helps!

Digi perm not curly?

i got a digital perm on saturday. here's what i had done: [1]solution was put on my dry/unwashed hair %26amp; heated under a dryer. [2]solution was rinsed off and conditioner was applied. [3]conditioner was left in and my hair was rolled and attached to the machine. [4]rollers were taken out and plastic rollers were put in. another solution was put on. [5]some time later that solution was washed out and because i was in a rush after sitting there for 4 hrs my hair was dried and then curled.

my hair looked great then - but i wasn't sure why the curling iron was necessary. i mean, didn't i just get a perm? she said that over the next week the curls would be really tight but would become looser afterwards. unfortunately - i'm not having that problem. i washed my and was left w/ a bad 80's wave. i washed again today and barely have a wave.

can someone explain the process step by step? i need to go back and have this fixed, but i want to know what's going on. also what products should i use?

Digi perm not curly?

Sounds to me that they didn't leave the neutralizer on long enough. The other possibility was that the waving lotion step wasn't complete. You should have been told not to shampoo for 24 to 48 hrs. depending on the perm but even if you shampooed early it should still be quite curly or very wavy. Call them today and ask to stop by for them to take a look. A 4 hour perm should last more than two days. They should at the least offer to fix it. You should be able to have a different more qualified person do the redo at no charge. All states license salons and cosmetologist so if you aren't happy look up that state agency. Any salon that doesn't offer to fix this is not a good one.

Digi perm not curly?

i've never heard of a digi perm like that before.

the one i use (with awesome results so far) is like a one step perm. shampoo, wrap, solution for 20-30 minutes, rinse with rods in, remove rods and rinse again. style as usual.

Frizzy fringe?

I recently got a fringe but I'm sort of regretting it now because I have very frizzy hair. My fringe gets dry and frizzy quickly. I have to get my picture taken in a couple of days.

Any products/methods that will straighten my hair? I can only buy inexpensive products (around $5) and I don't have a blow-dryer or a hair straightener. I don't want any answers like "pull your hair back or wear a headband", because I really like my new hairstyle...it's just, my frizzy hair kills it.

Frizzy fringe?

Why not try putting some rollers in your hair, when they are wrapped around the roller it smooths the frizz. Or try a roller at your crown, and then wrap your hair around your head, comb put some Bobbie pins, wrap some more, more pins, etc until you have wrapped all your hair. If your hair is long enough try a clothing iron it works. Maybe try a little bit of baby oil on your hair instead of conditioner, after shampooing, it is cheap and is like a conditioner. If all else fails pray for a dry day!!

Frizzy fringe?

try sunsilk frizz cream.....its working for my frizzy hair

Frizzy fringe?

use sunsilk green for frizzy hair called de-frizz and or the purple straighten up to help get the kinks (use a flat iron)

sun silk green de frizz 3some or purple straighten up

Hairstyles for school? Help!?

Okay, well im in 5th grade, and YES i concentrate on my studies, im on the honor roll and gets a+'s so please dont bother me about that. I really need hairstyles for school, my hair is a disaster in the morning! I have long wavy hair to like 3 inches longer then my shoulders and have some side swept bangs but not alot. I usually do half up half down, headbands dont look so good in my hair,or i put it in a pony, im sick of ponytails! And i need it kinda simple, i only have about 20-25 minutes to do it in the morning, I also have a hair straightener and blow dryer. Simple ideas please!! Thanks so much!

please dont report me that im in 5th grade!.

Hairstyles for school? Help!?

i wish i had wavy hair! i have REALLY curly hair and it's a pain! i think it would look good straight... but i think it woudl look even better if u put moose, or sum kind of cream in it and wore it wavy... it would be really cute! and it's looks cute half up and half down!

Hairstyles for school? Help!?

Did you know that if you dont like your wavy hair you can get a straight perm? my friend just got one and they really work! i would get that too if i were you. also side pony's are cute and in this season and halfway up is cute too, ecspecially with straight hair

Hairstyles for school? Help!?

leave it down or braid it

Does any one know the difference between a texturizer and a silkener?

I want to go natural and wear my hair curly. In styles like Halle Berry/ Jada Pinkett Smith, and Beyonce. I want to be able to change from curly to straight hair with a blow dryer or flat iron. I want my hair healthy. I currently have a relaxer in and want to grow it out while wearing braids then, snip snip snip. I don't live near new york wear miss jessies salon is located. I do like the results of the silkenener they offer though. I am aware that no one else sells the silkener product. What would be the likely result of a texturizer? Does it still split your ends tough since it is a chemical? About how often does one need a touch-up with a texturizer? Does it dry your hair out? Is it easy to manage? What products work best on texturized hair?

Does any one know the difference between a texturizer and a silkener?

a relaxer and texture are the same, they both chemically straighten the hair. I take it your hair texture is more curly than kinky; if so a texturizer will work for you. But I suggest you get a couple of consultations for hairdressers before you decide.

I have also been reading up on miss jessies silkener and from what I can tell it just a texturizer. I have very kinky hair and I tried the curly pudding and I never got the beautiful curls I wanted. You could try the curly pudding and see if it works for you before putting another chemical on your hair.

How do i get lose curls with only these.......?

curling mousse, reg mousse, curling gel, frizz control creme, hair spray, hair rubber bands (the little ones) reg hair bands, a blow dryer, a curling iron a comb, frizz control shampoo and conditoner, and a round brush. my hair is natraly curly and the curls tangle into each other creating a mass of unformed frizz! so i want lose curls that will look really nice. but i don't want it to look like it's not natural cuz my hair is curly. i just need some help! oh and my hair is medium length. i need as many answers as you guys can give.winner get's 10 points!!!!!!

How do i get lose curls with only these.......?

Right...here we go!

Shampoo, rinse, repeat. Condition, but be careful not to use too much...more does NOT = better! Use as little conditioner as you need to go through hair and let it sit while you finish the rest of your shower. Rinse conditioner. Wring excess water with towel but do not rub dry with towel. And throw away your round brush...NEVER use a brush on curly hair! You're asking for frizz with that! Trade it in for a pic or a wide tooth comb! (Safe bet and even cheap, you can get something by the Goody brand...it doesn't have to be expensive!)

Comb or pic through hair to get out any tangles but don't touch the hair any more than necessary. Apply a small amount of frizz control creme (preferrably silicone-based serum!), then apply some curling mousse. Use a blow dryer (with diffuser if possible...DON'T touch or 'scrunch' hair with hands though! This will create more frizz!) until nearly dry. Then take your curling iron and put in loose ringlets (this will cause your naturally curly hair to be uniform in curl ...the size of the ringlets will depend on the size of your curling iron barrel). If your natural curls are curly in some areas and not others you can use the curling iron in the not so curly places. Spray lightly with hair spray and enjoy bouncy beautiful curls!

Do you believe in Ghosts or the spirit world??

Here's a funny story...

I was doing a girls hair at work. It's the end of the night and she's blow drying her own hair with my blow dryer. (cuz she wanted to!)

We're talking about spirits..she's telling me that there are spirits around her all the time. They play with her. They turn the T.V on and off and when she goes into her room, the lights flicker. She tells me that spirits are sensitive to electricity and it seems THAT"s how they come through to her. She's blow drying her hair on low so we can talk and POOF! My blow dryer turns itself off. I thought that she had turned it off herself until I went over to show her what she'd done wrong...nope. It was dead. I bought that blow dryer in July.....never had a problom with it. The next day, it was fine. Up and running. That was 2 weeks ago and I use my blow dryer everyday...can't count how many times per day...it's professional..it'll last at least 5 years. I haven't had a problom with it since. What's your take on it??

Do you believe in Ghosts or the spirit world??

I believe in the spirit world, and since spirits can follow you anywhere I wouldn't be surprised if that was the true reason why your blowdryer turned off! :]

Do you believe in Ghosts or the spirit world??

No i dont believe in because i have never experiened such things

Do you believe in Ghosts or the spirit world??

i believe it. i've experienced some really weird poltergeist activities. but i didn't see the ghost of spirit. it's still enuf to convince me tho

Do you believe in Ghosts or the spirit world??

Yes.

Do you believe in Ghosts or the spirit world??

Wherever possible there must be independent confirmation of the facts.

Encourage substantive debate on the evidence by knowledgeable proponents of all points of view.

Arguments from authority carry little weight (in science there are no "authorities").

Spin more than one hypothesis - don't simply run with the first idea that caught your fancy

.

Try not to get overly attached to a hypothesis just because it's yours.

Quantify, wherever possible.

If there is a chain of argument every link in the chain must work.

"Occam's razor" - if there are two hypothesis that explain the data equally well choose the simpler.

Ask whether the hypothesis can, at least in principle, be falsified (shown to be false by some unambiguous test). In other words, it is testable? Can others duplicate the experiment and get the same result?

Do ionic blow dryers really work better?

Do the ionic blow dryers really dry hair faster and help control frizz? Are they worth the extra expense?

Do ionic blow dryers really work better?

ive never used one thats not ionic, but as far as i can tell, mine works GREAT and i have very very very very curly and frizzy hair that is practically unmanagable and i used to have to wait for 8 hours for it to air dry and it would be a clumpy mess, but now with my conair infiniti blow dryer with diffuser my curly come out great and theres barely any frizz

Do ionic blow dryers really work better?

I think so!

Do ionic blow dryers really work better?

Yep! They break up the water particle and blow dry a lot faster!

Schoolers, what is your morning routine before school every day?

here is mine : i wake up 10 minutes before school, only because of my screaming dad, go to the bathroom, brush my teeth, wash my face, get my clean clothes out of the dryer, brush hair, add just a tiny tiny bit of make up, then fix anything that needs grooming (eyebrows, for example). i shower right before bed. now i arrive at school 5 minutes before 2nd period. your turn!

Schoolers, what is your morning routine before school every day?

Here's my routine:

6:50- Mom barges into my room and tells me to get up.

7:00- I actually wake up.

7:02- Get out of my bed and get dressed.

7:05- Tame my mane. (Brush my hair lol.)

7:10- Eat breakfast. (Which usually is oatmeal and bacon. Yum.)

7:16 (No, not 7:15): Wash my face, brush my teeth, put on my glasses, tie my shoes, etc.

Somewhere between 7:20 and 7:26 (depending how organized I was the night before): Put my flute, all of my homework, textbooks, notebooks, binders, etc., in my backpack and put on my coat.

7:30: Get in the car for my dad to drive me to school.

Schoolers, what is your morning routine before school every day?

my dad yells at 6 i get up at 6:20 i go pee brush my teeth, get dressed and at 6:30 im out the door.~ my bus comes at 6:35 lmao~

Schoolers, what is your morning routine before school every day?

6:15-get out of the shower

6:16-about 6:25- dry hair

I get breakfast, pick out my outfit, get it on, fix my hair and put a little bit of makeup, brush my teeth, then head for the bus stop!

Schoolers, what is your morning routine before school every day?

Here is mine: I wake up at about 7:00, about 25 minutes before the bus comes and 20 minutes before I have to leave home. I go to the bathroom, brush my teeth, wash my face, pick out my outfit from closet, get dressed, brush my hair, glance at the mirror, then grab my purse and head downstairs. I skip breakfast most of the time, maybe grabbing a granola bar to eat at the bus stop. My dad drives me to the bus stop, and on cold mornings lets me sit until the bus comes in the car. The bus comes at about 7:28 and I get to school about 8:20. We have a long bus ride and we get a new kid about every day. Our bus is the most crowded and a lot of us (including me) have to sit 3 to a seat. Our bus ride takes so long that our first time to be at the bus stop was 7:45. They had to move it all the way to 7:20 so we could get to school on time. On the first day of school, we were 15 minutes late, and after a week, they started moving back the times 10 minutes every 3 weeks or so. We are on our 3rd bus driver, the 1st getting fired for backing into a truck one morning (I witnessed it), and the 2nd leaving to take care of her daughter that was being mistreated at daycare. Our bus rides have been most of my middle school memories. I will never forget the people that will move on to High School next year. So, that is my morning, and a summary of my Bus Adventures".

I will not state my name because my description is pretty clear.

Schoolers, what is your morning routine before school every day?

Schoolers, what is your morning routine before school every day?

Interesting. Lol. I like your morning routine.

Every night, I always pack everything in my backpack and have a general idea of what I will wear the next day. At 6:40, I usually wake up, thanks to my ridiculous alarm clock. Then I usually lie in bed and half-sleep until 6:50. If I feel awake, I'll get online or just think about random nonsense. I'll do a little bit of morning stretching, then a short exercise routine (30 wall push-ups, 30 leg lifts, 30 crunches).

By then, it's around 7:00 to 7:10. I'll go to brush and wash my face. It's about 7:20 to 7:30 by then. I'll put on a little lotion, then get dressed and brush out my hair (if I feel stylish, I'll put my hair in some ponytail or pigtails, otherwise I keep it down). I'll pack away my cellphone, novel, and journal. Get a glance in the mirror, and head down. It's 7:35-7:40, and I'll pour myself a cup of orange juice and start eating breakfast. At 7:55, I'll pop in a Tic-Tac, then head outside to the car. If I'm taking the bus, I head out at 8:00. By 8:10, I'm at school (8:15 if on the bus) and at 8:30, classes start.

That's basically it. If I have to get to school early, I TRY to wake up at 6:30. Doesn't always work.

Schoolers, what is your morning routine before school every day?

Hood dryers?

hi,

just wondering. do hood dryers dry your hair straight or just as it is naturally?

also, should you not really use them as much as you'd use a normal one? x

Hood dryers?

i've tried hood dryers but they all seem to take FORVER, so don't use them anymore...

by the way, my current favorite hair dryer is one by Conair... it's red and i got it at Target... it's called the "ionic shine" i think and it says it used Tourmaline!

it really does dry hair quicker and it comes with a bunch of different "head/attachments" including a really good diffuser for when you wanna go curly -- and there's an attachment that you use for when you're straightening...

AND it only cost about $25... MUCH cheaper than a CHI but works extremely well, and i use mine EVERY day!!!

hope this helps!

I REALLY need some help/advice!!!!!!!?

I know this looks like a really long question, but its not very complicated...please read it!!!!

Okay, so I have REALLY thick and frizzy/puffy hair. The only time I wear my hair down or in a pony is when its straight, otherwise I wear it in a bun.

I really get SO frustrated because everyone in my school has nearly perfect hair. I dont even know how to express how ANNOYING it is to have my hair I HATE IT!!!!

So, can you tell me what I'm doing wrong??? I've tried EVERYTHING:

1. Wash hair then let it dry naturally

2. Wash hair then dry with blow dryer

3. Wash hair and put in leave in conditioner

4. Wash hair and put gel (this has worked a few times, but leaves my hair really hard and flakey...)

All I want to know is how to get a nice natural look without any frizz or poofyness!!!!!

ANY ADVICE WILL HELP!!!!!

Thanks A Ton!!

Love, Me

PS

I even tried braiding my hair while wet, then let it out when it dries, but for some reason, it doesnt look good...errrrrr!!!!

I REALLY need some help/advice!!!!!!!?

Here are some suggestions-

At a Salon:

1. Get your hair relaxed or thinned

2. Get layers

3. Chemically straightened

4. Deep Conditioning treatment

To get at a store:

1. Buy a really good straightener (Chi straighteners are good)

2. Get a really good shampoo and conditioner for it (Granier Frutics are good)

To do at home:

1. Scrunch it (take your damp hair and put gell in it, then scrunch it and then spray hairspray so it holds the waves)

2. Make braids

3. Straighten your hair

=]

I REALLY need some help/advice!!!!!!!?

it's damaged. you can't do anything just try not to pull on it and stuff. let it grow out and cut the damaged part

I REALLY need some help/advice!!!!!!!?

weee lol, just go to a hair salon to ask them do fix your hair, or else cut it off or real short are the easiest solutions

I REALLY need some help/advice!!!!!!!?

well you can go to your hairdresser and ask her to THIN it out. there are special thinning sheers that thin your hair out. kinda like layers! you can do a chemical straightener. i have tried maintamer (possibly spelt differently) but it worked wonders. it made my hair feel really soft. and i'm not sure if you use a flat iron or not but i personally would not be able to live without my flat iron. invest in a really good one.

I REALLY need some help/advice!!!!!!!?

Tell you what: I'll trade with you. I have straight, fine hair that I can't do anything with. I've always said that if I could get my butt and hips as thin as my hair I'd be all that and a bag of chips! Google products to tame thick/frizzy hair, there's got to be something out there to help. In the meantime, be glad of what you've got. I'd love thick hair, even if it was frizzy. Good luck!!!

I REALLY need some help/advice!!!!!!!?

Try and use conditioner and rinse in cold water instead of warm. :]

I REALLY need some help/advice!!!!!!!?

Toni you need to go get your hair thinned.....

After thinning get some Patenne Gel and let it hang in the loose curly look.

~~Good Luck~~

I REALLY need some help/advice!!!!!!!?

I have the same kind of hair as you! The suggestions about getting it thinned at each haircut are absolutely right. And you have to just plan on spending a lot of time on your hair if you want it to look pretty. I round-brush mine and flat-iron it every other day and it takes at least 30 minutes. Ask your stylist to show you how to do it, and use the same hair products they use. Get regular haircuts. Then some days when you don't have time to do it you can still wear it in a curly ponytail or wear a hat :-) . Thick frizzy hair takes a lot of practice and patience, but when you get it right, nobody will look better!

In West Sussex England, where can i get a very cheap 50cc scooter/moped?

Okay, Its coming up to my 16th birthday and i am planning on getting a moped.

I dont like the little racey ones people drive that sound like hair-dryers, i would like one that looks like a classic. Perhaps a vespa or something similar.

Preferabley from the 70's 80's or 90's.

Condition isnt a HUGE issue, as any minor to medium faults i can get my father ( an engineer ) to fix.

Please help :)

Suggest what models, makes and where to get them please :)

Definately not more than 鎷?000, hopefully a lot less, somewhere around or minus 鎷?00 would be ideal.

Thanks in advance.

Sam.

In West Sussex England, where can i get a very cheap 50cc scooter/moped?

Have you looked on Ebay or in the Friday-Ad?

In West Sussex England, where can i get a very cheap 50cc scooter/moped?

Im not sure where do scooters like Vespa styles for under that price, however you can get Brand New Scooters (Huatian) Imports from The Scooter Warehouse in Ferring. They have many styles and OTR are under 鎷?95.

Check out there website.

In West Sussex England, where can i get a very cheap 50cc scooter/moped?

you could always go to your local scrap heap, you never know what you might find. thats where my dad got most of his first scooters/motorbikes.

In West Sussex England, where can i get a very cheap 50cc scooter/moped?

I would say ebay is the best bet, I wouldn't buy any of these brand new cheap ones most of them are chinesse and have very bad build quality.

In West Sussex England, where can i get a very cheap 50cc scooter/moped?

To be honest, I would reccomend eBay or looking through classified advertisments.

As for models, the Honda C50 (The Honda Super Cub) is the best selling road vechicle of all time for a reason.

In West Sussex England, where can i get a very cheap 50cc scooter/moped?

Scrappers are just that. E-bay unknown quantity, MCN failry safe for 2nd hand stuff, but if you know nothing about it, try a local dealer or 2 and decide who's who.

The new stuff out of the East is well made and very well priced and will come with a warranty, (doesn't cover trashing!) so if you have 2 grand to spend you should find some thing easily and of good quality and reliability.

My 1st bike was litterally a chicken shed special, BSA 125cc 2 stroke Bantam ,been in the shed for 10 years, covered in wots it, paid a fiver, and pushed it 3 miles home. Took it to pieces, like every thing engine gearbox, frame, carb, wiring etc, re-built it over 12 months, got my Dad to time it as it was a 2 stroke, and he like most Dads, taught me another lesson, i.e. how to time up a 2 stroke, as he timed it ''early'' so the engine was actually running backwards, so once it was started he said off you go and I did, like a bat out of hell, backwards up the yard!!!!

Theres is still the mark on the wall where it hit it, 45 years ago.

Never forgot how to time a bike though.

Shop around good luck, enjoy, and watch out for the wallies in the tin tops. A. P.

~StAtic PrObLeM~?

My hair....

I use dryer sheets when I do laundry, and I've tried several different shampoos/conditioners.

It drives me CRAZY!

Any suggestions?

~StAtic PrObLeM~?

Believe it or not, a dryer sheet does the trick. If your hair is full of static, take a bounce sheet or whatever dryer sheets you have laying around, and rub it on your roots to the ends of your mane. It takes the static out of your hair, and your clothes, and makes your hair smell great (depending on which one you have), therefore not only are you getting your money's worth, but it's multi-purpose too!

And if you don't like that idea, buy a bottle of leave in conditioner that has a heat protector in it. I use Aussie's leave in conditioner heat protector. I dry my hair and straighten it, and usually if I straighten, it sticks to everything! So when I'm all done, just before I go, I spray three squirts of it into my hands and rub them together, and just finger it through my hair. It works like a charm!

hairspray

~StAtic PrObLeM~?

Blow dry your hair straight.

Then straighten it.

Then brush hairspray through it.

~StAtic PrObLeM~?

Lo siento, pero...you're white aren't you? Why don't you just wet your hair or your brush or whatever...works for my friend Manda...I think the water gets rid of some of the static electricity.

~StAtic PrObLeM~?

Try an anti frizz serum.

This will keep the cuticle of your hair smooth and reduce the friction.

(Yes you can rub a dryer sheet over your head if you want to smell april fresh)

~StAtic PrObLeM~?

too much conditioner isnt good either... use a spritz in stead of a hairspray... blow dry with some gel in your hair

~StAtic PrObLeM~?

straighten ur hair

and sleep on a silk pillowcase =]

it works

~StAtic PrObLeM~?

We live in a very dry climate out west....and static is the norm...I just keep a small spray bottle of water...the misty kind of spray not the pump kind. Just light spray the hair. Try not to wash your hair everyday...do every other to cut down the drying effects everyday shampooing.

Use shampoo/cond that has moisturizers in it. I use a gel product from Aveda that protects my hair and seems to cut down on the static. It is called Brilliant forming gel...and it is a light product. It has no alcohol ingredients...it is all natural.

You can also moisturize your hands with lotion...and after you get it rubbed in well....brush your hands over your hair and that will allievate the static.

The water mister on the hair works wonders when I am fixing my daughters' hair in the morning....there is always static.

~StAtic PrObLeM~?

I have the same problem with my fine straight hair. Lightly spray your brush with an aerosol hair spray- not a spritzer. Like Shaper from Sebastian. Keep it about 10 to 12 inches away from the brush and try to use a brush that has fine bristles as well as the plastic ones combined. Then run it through your hair. Don't use too much because you can always use more if needed. Also if you can keep more humidity in your home that would help. Right now we are using our heaters more and the air outside is dryer. Pray for a little rain.:)

~StAtic PrObLeM~?

Try pantene pro-v time renewal replenishing mask. Take a couple of butterfly clips into the shower with you, and after you shampoo, load your hair up with this stuff and clip it up out of the way so it has time to soak in. Leave it on for five minutes and rinse, making sure you rinse the top of your head really well so it doesn't leave your roots greasy (I usually clip my hair in a bun and rinse my scalp with the bun still fastened so I can get most of it out of my roots without taking it all out of the rest of my hair. Your hair will feel incredibly smooth as soon as you rinse, it'll smell amazing, and it won't be staticky! You should also try not to brush it too many times a day.

SERIOUSLY SPLIT ENDS!! help!?

I have very damaged hair. My split ends are pretty bad and I try to cut them myself because I don't want to go to a hair salon. I use pantene shampoo/conditioner which makes my hair really shiny but I use a blow dryer and hair straightner almost everyday. What can I do to lessen the damage? Any good leave-in conditioners or treatments? I've been using the Aussie insurance leave in conditioner and it works okay. I bought the Healthy Sexy Hair wheat-soy leave in conditioner that is coming in the mail soon. Any other good ones that I should get??

SERIOUSLY SPLIT ENDS!! help!?

ok instead of putting different chemicals in your hair, try using a Virgin Coconut Oil before bath.

and lessen the blow dries, hair straighteners and stuff.

get your hair trimmed every month.

SERIOUSLY SPLIT ENDS!! help!?

once your ends are split their is no repairing them, they will just continue to get worse until you cut your hair enough to get rid of all of them

SERIOUSLY SPLIT ENDS!! help!?

Aussie has a product called Hair Insurance you spray it on after you wash and condition. It works wonders. Also for a once to twice a week treatment try their 3 minute miracle. Use their shampoo and conditioner for dry ends. It is fantastic.

SERIOUSLY SPLIT ENDS!! help!?

the only solution is go and trim your hair...

avoid using all the chemical things and blow dry, etc as you can.....go and trim ur hair right now,ok girl???

SERIOUSLY SPLIT ENDS!! help!?

Alright, well, it's really hard to get rid of dead hair, simply because it has been permaently damaged. BUT, there are some options. Dove intense damage therapy really works well at getting your hair softer, and more natural looking. It's available at your local grocery store, target, walmart etc. Sunsilk works really well for my hair, makes it shiny, it smells good, works generally great, and there are alot of different varieties to suit your hair type. As for those split ends, sorry to say, but there really isn't any simple way to get rid of them, other than getting them cut.

Oh, and if your hair is dyed, pantene has some good conditioners that you leave in for like 5 minutes.

SERIOUSLY SPLIT ENDS!! help!?

If you say that you straighten your hair everyday, be careful that its not too hot, and that your not clamping the straightener too hard on your hair. If you put your hair into a ponytail, be careful that you dont yank it out and rip out your hair.

SERIOUSLY SPLIT ENDS!! help!?

stop with the heat

try wearing ur hair up for awhile so you dont have to straighten or blow dry it

mines getting pretty bad too

but y wud i listen to my own advice?

SERIOUSLY SPLIT ENDS!! help!?

I hate to tell you this but there is nothing on the market that will repair a split end.

I also suggest you go to a salon for a hair cut. The reason for this is they are professionals and will know best how to take care of the problem. If you do not you will continue to have problems with split ends. The main problem you will face is that a split ends if it is not cut off will eat it way all the way up the hair shaft. Just like a pacman.

I've been a licensed cosmetologist for thirty years.

Hope this helps.

SERIOUSLY SPLIT ENDS!! help!?

you can wrap your hair to avoid having to use heat everyday, and use a line of products that helps with damaged hair, i would suggest Garnier over Pantene

SERIOUSLY SPLIT ENDS!! help!?

Girl you need to try this NOW.

Using LeNovo Thinkpad and electrical appliances in Spain?

I expect to stay in Spain for 4 months and also travel to other European countries (U.K., Italy and France).

I am concerned about being able to the Lenovo Thinkpad that I got recently. I know that Spain and most of Europe operate at 220 volts and I may need a transformer to use personal appliances like electric hair dryers, shavers etc.

I am looking for specific suggestions from expats who have lived in Spain. Thanks for your insights.

Using LeNovo Thinkpad and electrical appliances in Spain?

There are two issues you need to deal with: (1) the voltage; and (2) the plug

(1) The first step you need to do is determine if your appliances will operate on 220v. This is easy to do; just look on the product itself. Usually, the voltage information will be listed on the power adapter. Most laptops will have a heading saying "input" and will say "100-240V." This means that the laptop can be operated safely within that voltage range.

If your appliance will operate safely at 220v, all you need is a plug adapter and you can go to step two.

If your appliance will not operate at 220v, you need a transformer. The type of transfer you need depends on the appliance you wish to operate. A hair dryer will require a more heavy-duty transformer than a shaver, for example. You can purchase the proper transformer at http://www.voltage-converter-transformer...

(2) Even if your appliance will operate on 220v, you will need a plug adapter. Spain, Italy, and France use the same plug but not the UK. Your best bet is to get a universal plug adapter so you are covered wherever you go. Check out your local travel store or go to http://www.magellans.com/store/Adaptor_P...

Using LeNovo Thinkpad and electrical appliances in Spain?

Yes there is electricity in Spain. Is ther in the UK?

What's the best...?

I am going to be getting my hair cut to medium length and I have thick, wavy hair. I like to wear it both straight and curly. I am going to be going into a dental program and if my hair is not above my shoulders, I have to wear it up. I am looking to be able to wear cute up and down styles and I like versatile tools thanks. So I was wondering what's the best...

hair straightener?

blow dryer?

curling iron?

brushes?

combs?

shampoo?

conditioner?

finishing products?

hair accessories?

anything else you love?

Thanks :)

What's the best...?

Straightener- I've heard Chi's are good as are Sedu's. I have a Solia and I really like that as well. Whatever you get make sure its a ceramic.

Blow Dryer/ Curler/ Brush: Never Use

Comb: I just know you should use a wide toothed one to prevent damage.

Shampoo/Conditioner: This is really different from person to person. I'd say your best bet is just to experiment around. I like Garnier but the caps are really difficult to open. Herbal Essences smells pretty nice but is rather strong.

Finishing: I always use anti-frizz cream which isn't really finishing. I use Garnier smoothing milk on my wet hair, Loreal Heat Seeker before I straighten, and either Dove Anti Frizz or John Frieda Frizz Ease Secret Weapon if my dry hair needs some moisture. For shine gloss, I use BedHead TIGI Shine Junkie. I like it but I've heard Garnier Sleek and Shine serum is good too.

Other: To get my hair to have a nice wave (as opposed to the random not so nice natural wave I have) I spray Brilliant Brunette Starlit Waves all over my wet hair before bed. It really gives my hair a nice beachy wave look without a curling iron because I really hate them. Any sea salt spray will give you this effect. Sometimes I pull part of my hair back with a bobby pin- gotta love those.

Good luck and have fun with your hair!

Does anyone have a clue about speeding up a growing out fringe?

The fringe is a complete mess....a friend lied and said she was 'experienced with hair', I believed her.....my hair grows pretty fast, the fringe is about eyebrow length right now.... I really want to speed it up in any way possible as I'm sick of having to clip my hair back all the time. any ideas are welcome.... (as long as they work) Also I'd like to know if using stuff like hair straightners/ dryers will slow it down at all

Does anyone have a clue about speeding up a growing out fringe?

nothing will make your hair grow faster BUT hair dryers/straighteners etc WILL damage it, so it will break and split. eat healthily and stay away from your friend when she's near any scissors.

Does anyone have a clue about speeding up a growing out fringe?

Your a nob..

Clean My Shoes.

Does anyone have a clue about speeding up a growing out fringe?

Eat los of red fruits , it makes your hair grow faster.

Does anyone have a clue about speeding up a growing out fringe?

take prenatal vitamins. they make your hair and nails grow up to 27% faster then normal. they are completely safe to take even if you are not prego. I take one a day and they keep my heathy and my hair, skin, and nails looking good. you can get them at any drug store without a prescription or ask you doctor for some.

Does anyone have a clue about speeding up a growing out fringe?

the supplement"Biotin" it takes a while for it to "kick" in, but it works

Does anyone have a clue about speeding up a growing out fringe?

while in yoga class tonight we did an exercise whereby the hair growth on your scalp is exellerated. All you have to do is stand with your legs a little far apart. Reach up slowly with your palms tightening and bend forward towards your feet letting your arms swing so that they face up as you bend down. When you bend down try to let your head relax so that the top of your scalp sort of faces the ground- this is what apparantly stimulates the growth. Do this slowly to begin with and them more rapidly once you have a rhythm- making sure you're not damaging your back as you bend forward. You do this for about 3 mins a day. I have only done it for the first time tonight but i won't knock it until i've done it- makes you feel good in any case!

Does anyone have a clue about speeding up a growing out fringe?

don't freak out...everyone gets horrible haircuts...

anyway, the answer to one of your questions is a big no. Straightners and dryers won't "slow down" the process of your hair growing out, BUT if your hair gets damaged by those two devices, then your hair will grow dead and just fall out...so make no progress. I'd say if you want to grow out your hair asap, don't use flat irons or dryers often/at all.

things that can definitely speed up hair growth:

1. vitamin E. if you've seen the vitamin E tablets that are swallowable and have vitamin E liquid inside that you can get out...(the brown ones with the liquid in the middle that you can ooze out when you cut the pill in half) use those! with your fingetips, smooth the liqiud through your hair (its dries in about 3 seconds). It not only will help you, but it makes your hair spll better and look better!

2. don't wash your hair excessively. keep your hair healthy, but don't wash it everyday (unless you swim or are in dirt or something). taking natural oils out of your will dry it and make it gro at a slower pace.

3. brush it! brushing may seem like its making hair fall out, but many good brushes through your hair everyday will take away dead hair and keep the healthy hair in.

hope those help! also:

clips stink i know...try bobby pins or headbands too. if not, once your hair grows about 2 inches past your brow you can put your bangs to the side for a cute, chic look.

hope for the best!

Does anyone have a clue about speeding up a growing out fringe?

get it cut regualary thats ment to make hair grow quciker, in the mean time just pin it back with some bobby pins

Does anyone have a clue about speeding up a growing out fringe?

have it trimmed regularly!!! it will get rid of all the damaged bits of hair from daily wear and tear which speeds up hair growth!!!x

Does A "Rinse" Dye Damage Hair?

The Kind Of dye where they put the plastic bag over your head and leave you under the dryer for a little while. i need to dye over red highlights again to black/brown.

Does A "Rinse" Dye Damage Hair?

Any kind of chemical can be somewhat damaging, but if you use a chemical, make sure it has some type of conditioner in it. Cellophanes are usually pretty good for the hair and they come in different colors.

Does A "Rinse" Dye Damage Hair?

Read some useful hair colouring tips on this site

Does A "Rinse" Dye Damage Hair?

no i don't think so no it doest

Does A "Rinse" Dye Damage Hair?

No. Rinses are not harsh compared to permanent hair dyes that change the porosity of your hair. If you ever color your hair rinses are ALWAYS better because it doesn't take as much of a chemical change to get to the next hair color level. If you're still in doubt though, consult a professional. :-)

How can i keep my hair flipped out and stayed flipped out? And how do i get all 3 layers to flip out

I have three lengths to flip out. I can only flip out the bottom layer with the roller brush and blow dryer. I want to be able to flip out all three layers so that it will look cuter and more like the picture that i wanted. How can i separate the other two layers and get them to flip out without looking completely ridiculous?

How can i keep my hair flipped out and stayed flipped out? And how do i get all 3 layers to flip out?

I've had this same style and what I did was use a round brush as you're drying with a hair dryer. Use the brush to keep winging out your layers until your hair is dry. Then use a pomade all over your hair. Then use a flat iron on tips only. As you're using the flat iron, pull the hair out away from your head. Start with the shortest layer, and work your way down. Then spray the hell out of it! Good luck!

How can i keep my hair flipped out and stayed flipped out? And how do i get all 3 layers to flip out?

Use a flat iron

How can i keep my hair flipped out and stayed flipped out? And how do i get all 3 layers to flip out?

I think you should use the ceramic flat iron.

How can i keep my hair flipped out and stayed flipped out? And how do i get all 3 layers to flip out?

with a curling iron... I guess the only way you can seperate them is to go to the salon so they can tell you how... good luck!

I would say if you are running late or something just put you hair in a messy pony tail i think your hair would look cute like that!

Showers???

i have spiky hair, and after i dry my hair with a towel or blow dryer, my hair gets all unusually dry and stuff. It seems shorter when i try to spike it, and gel doesnt get it straight. I cant get my hair to look like it does before the shower. What is happening???!!!!

Showers???

Try switching shampoo's. The shampoo you are using might contradict your gel.

Showers???

Your natural grease is probably adding a nice texture to it, so it looks a lot better before showering.

The shampoo you're using is stripping the oils and leaving your hair dry. You might try finding a hydrating shampoo and use that instead.

Your hair may appear shorter, but there's nothing you can do about that. Mines always looks different styled too, because well...its styled.

You might get a straightning iron and straighten the parts that are giving you hell. Trust me, its worth it and not gay.

My fiance openly straightens his bangs (he has this "scene" haircut where his bangs are long) and he's definitely not gay.

Showers???

it's all the gunk in your hair wreching the hair's structure. get a cleaning shampoo and a good conditioner to use, try to not ply on the gel it will be bad in the long run

Showers???

The absolute best is a product called Texture Dirt from FX Special Effects. You can pick it up at any Walgreens. You'll love it!
