Why are hotel rooms with refrigerators & microwaves so hard to find?

Esp. in Houston. Unless you get some $300 a night executive suite @ the Hilton, Marriott or Sheraton you're stuck with a crappy room . I stayed @ a Hampton Inn in Houston last night %26amp; the room had none of that so I couldn't bring home my leftovers from my restuarant %26amp; had keep my sodas on ice which gets VERY messy.

Why can't refridgerators be a standard feature like the hair dryers %26amp; irons/boards. They;re not THAT expensive :((

You are looking at the wrong kind of hotel.

You need the "businessman" or "extended stay" type of hotel. These ALWAYS have fridge, micro, stove, sink, dishes, utensils, etc.

Try Spring Hill Suites or Hilton Garden. They are just a bit more expensive than Fairfield Inn or Hampton Inn, but they are better suited to your needs. Also Extended Stay America and Residence Inn.

Oddly enough, some low-cost motel chains are adding a small fridge and micro to all rooms. Knights Inn's are budget oriented. Their rooms are basic but clean. Also check out Microtel and Baymont.

My wife and I have been travelling together for nearly 40 years. We've been to all 50 states, and continue to travel. We like to have a fridge and micro in our rooms, too.

Yes, but people trash them all the time. Only the expensive places can afford to keep them up and replace them often. Refrigerators may not be much money but they do use a lot of energy too. I just wish the cheaper hotels would wash their comforters every time someone checks out and buy some decent sheets and pillows. Gross!

In just about any motel, if there isn't a micorwave oven in the room, you can use the one where the continental breakfast area is.

Unfortunately, if hotel rooms contain fridges and microwaves, they stop becoming hotels, and become self catering apartments. Hotels want you to use their restaurants, so no microwaves.

Try looking for self-catering apartments. You may find something more to your liking.

It comes down to the Star rating of the hotel. 1-star and 2-star motels/hotels generally have fridges. Before making a reservation, call and ask. Mariott Fairfield Inn's always have fridges/microwaves (or at least one) along with Howard Johnson hotels.

3-star and above --- unless it's a wet bar fridge, they want you to order room service, use the hotel restaurant, etc.

These are additional avenues of profit to the hotel. It also cuts cost by allowing maids to clean faster; along with potential hidden food odors.

YES!!! Diffuser really works.

A lot of things to consider with naturally curly hair but basically you can count on not shampooing every day. Try every other day or every 3 days depending on how your scalp feels. Condition every day! This will help with the frizz. You do NOT need to buy the same brand conditioner and shampoo. Be MUCH more mindful of your conditioner but make sure your shampoo is meant for your type of scalp and hair.

As far as styling goes you pretty much need to use some kind of product to tame your mane. If you want tighter curls try mousse or gel but use one that is alcohol free. You can use mousse that contains alcohol but don't go nuts with it since you will be using heat and you only shampoo every few days.

To add shine there are spray shines and hair balms/oils you can add that are great. I was soooo happy when I discovered the one I use (Paul Brown Diamond Heads) because I always wanted shiny hair.

When you diffuse your hair flip your head over and rest your hair on the diffuser and agitate it, scrunch your curls, scrunch it to your head (be careful not to get your hair caught in the "vaccuum" part). When you get through with the lower end of your hair flip back over and work on your scalp. Put the diffuser up against your head and work it up toward your crown to give your hair volume (unless you already have tons of volume). However you do it the goal is to volumize your curls, not blow them straight.

It takes a while and a lot of products to figure out what works for your hair, but keep at it and you'll get it. Biggest key...find a hairdresser that knows your hair and NEVER LET THEM GO!

All straighteners found at walmart are cheap and crappy. Therer are straighteners out there which can make your hair straight for as long as your hair is dry. They cost around 100 bucks or so but last a lifetime. Here's a list of the best straighteners you can get, if you're interested.

Don't skimp on a straightener. A good one will cost you more, but you have to use it less - which means you don't do as much damage to your hair. A good one will heat up realllllly well. Therefore you should only have to run it down your hair once or twice. Walmart brands and such, you have to run down a few times. More heat = more damage. I suggest a Chi.

And no matter what brand you use - get a heat protection product for your hair. It will guard against heat damage. Never straighten your hair w/o any heat protection product in it.

if your hair is thick and naturally curly/frizzy, you will only achieve straight hair with something like a CHI flat iron

but if your hair is thin and easier to style then it should work

Use a regular iron for clothes if you have one...works better. Also use a really good moisturizer so it doesnt ruin your hair. But alot of ppl think its bad to use irons...but its the same concept right??

My sister bought a hair straightener at walmart and it works really good for her, she has really thick curly hair 7 shes learned to manage it really well and she uses it alot, so it must b good try it dont spend too much money on something that my break or damage your hair

its called a diffuser.

and their great for your hair, better than just regular blowdrying actually, because its not so much heat damage. i reccomend purchasing one by chi.

I have naturally curly hair, and love, love, love Kerasilk Liquid Silk. You can get it cheap on Ebay. Or, Dove Frizz reducing gel is good too. They have that anywhere, Walmart, CVS, its in with the hair sprays and comes with a blue cap. Hope this helps!! You can use both of them on wet and dry hair, I use them to tame the tresses throughout the day on humid days...

hi , i got some electronics frm asia( like camera and hair dryer) , which can only be used in 220 volts. which converter or transformer sud i use which changes 110 volt to 220 volt ? and where can i get it ?

Whichever you buy, either a transformer or a converter, it will need to have a power rating at least as large as the power comsumption of the device you want to use.

You can also use it for things with lower power consumption.
