i have a conair flat iron and infiniti blow-dryer........

what can i do to keep it soft shiny and frizz free???

any tips at all!!!!! but not EXPENSIVE stuff please =]

On days that you won't be going out, or will be running errands ... just leave your hair be. It needs it's rest.

But if you don't want to, I read to deep condition every other week or so for the moisture. And use the heat protection cream before you expose your hair to the heat of the dryer and flat iron.

Also, it's sort of expensive, but doing that Chinese flattening thing on your hair just once ... and you won't have to do any of that ironing. (Which we all know taking a pretty long time to do everyday*!) The Chinese flattening would keep your hair pin straight for a few months, after that just do the touchups at the roots. I heard it stays straight from right out the shower, no flattening required. Buuuut, I have to warn you, you won't be able to curl it if you want to when you get this done.

I use Sunsilk's Shine Spray (when my hair is wet before I blowdry) then when it's dried I spray Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight on each section before I use the flat iron and it works amazzzzzzzingly. It's like $3

my hair started to get very unhealthy and frizzy from the heat of straighteners and blow dryers.

so for a few months i have been spraying on

"it's a 10" to my wet hair after i shower, which protects your hair, gives shine, repairs dry hair, prevents split ens, and protects against heat. its not expensive and can be bought at any salon i believe.

then before i straighten my hair i spray "aquage beyond body thermal styler" onto sections of my dry hair, which protects against heat and damage.

please dont flat iron your hair every day or you will regret it badly....do your hair whenever you go out or for special occasion...any other day just let it be and maybe let it even dry without using a blow drier....it will keepit healthier....and once a week use a good mask to keep it soft and shiny
