Does anyone have any good weatherization tips for foggy windows?

My windows are single pane older trailer style windows. They do have two windows but each pane is about four inches between. They get moisture on the outer windows inside in the winter and then freeze over leaving them all foggy and icy. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening this year? I plan to cover them over with the plastic that you put on with double sided tape and a hair dryer. I'm looking for a solution that might treat it for the wh ole winter. If you have any good tips I would appreciate it. Thanks a lot.

Seal the windows with door and window caulking from the out side should help from letting moisture working in behind the two pieces of glass.

I was going to suggest exactly what you said...the double sided tape and plastic that shrinks with the hair drier. In my house that takes care of the foggy windows because, like yours, they are single pane. The air trapped between the plastic and window is warmer and keeps the windows from fogging up. I always use a plastic like that make by 3M. It is a really good product. Best of luck.
