I used a hair dryer to take the stickers off my van but its left some of the glue behind.Anyone know any tricks to remove it without damage to the paint?

A decent paint thinner or nailpolish remover works pretty good. If the glue is somewhat old and dry, gasoline or ether works sometimes, too. I just removed some of those stick-on, fake cowl-induction things from the hood of a truck I just bought and used paint thinner to get the old glue and double-sided tape off of the hood and it didn't leave any scratches or residue behind. You may have to apply it a few times before you get all of it. Sometimes, the glue may spread after it has been hit with the paint thinner, but just re-apply and it'll eventually come off. Goo-Gone works pretty well, too. Just remember, after you use these solutions and chemicals on your paint that you apply a wax or sealant to replace any wax that was on the vehicle. Good Luck!

I'd try rubbing alcohol. I'd avoid fingernail polish remover (acetone) which someone else suggested. No way I'd use that on the finish.

you use the pre-tint cleaner it is found at walmart automotive and works wonders but you should have put it on the glass so you could use a razor blade to clean it off without messing up the paint

Go to your local paint store and ask for adhesive remover in liquid form

You need to soften it up with Goo Be Gone or paint thinner then once it's saturated use a soft plastic scraper to remove it.
