My dog is continuosly shivering from yesterday and wants to hide under beds/desks. I seek advice to

back to normalcy. My dog is an 8 yr old Springer %26amp; Brittany Spaniel Mix--was in perfect health till last night; he got wet by the lawn sprinklers and my son dried him with towels and a hair dryer---ever since then he has started shivering; wont eat/drink and wants to hide under beds/desks. He wont greet us when we return home or bark when the door bell rings like he used to. I examined him for any external bodily injuries and everything seems normal. We get rabbits in the back yard and they are always chased by Fluffy--not anymore!

Would like feedback from all experts out there!

Is his nose warm and dry? If so, that means fever. Is he drinking, if not that could lead to dehydration. If there is no temp and you believe he's drinking and eating he may just be really angry. some dogs will hold a grudge....Try doing something he really likes, feed him his favorite treats and try to let him know he's not been punished, he may see it that way. If you can't be sure take him to the vet.

i sujest he may have a type a sickness. he may have been scared of the sprinklers. i would take him to the vet though.

it sounds like he has gotten sick, i would take him to the vet maybe it is something that antibiotics could fix.

could be age, a illness or just for some reason never really expirenced sprinklers.

I'm not necessarily an expert, but I have had animals for years, and If all of a sudden an older animal starts acting strange and not eating/drinking and he did just have something potentially traumatic happen, the first thing I would do is call the vet to have him checked. No doubt about it. My animals are like my children, and I certainly wouldnt wait if a child was staying in bed and not eating...
