Someone recommended heating the stickers with a hair dryer, peeling them off then using WD40 oil to wipe off the residue?
Will this work? Any better methods?

Heating them up with a hair dryer will help loosen the glue. They should pull off relatively easy. As long as it is a typical waterproof vinyl sticker it should come off without a problem.
WD40, Ronsonol lighter fluid,
Citrus Cleaner, Goof Off, Denatured Alcohol, Simple Green, 3M Wax remover, etc. etc. all will do a good job of removing the goop left behind.
