It seems that the water fill tube has become frozen solid with water. I defrosted it with a hair dryer and it seemed open but with turning the freezer down and the ice maker on still no ice making activity. The ice dispenser is in the door.

The solution was to replace the PC Board Receiver. Apparent electrical overheating on circuit board with loss of function- then had to unfreeze the water line done with heat gun to warm a piece of coat hanger wire and then compressed air. Now works just fine.

The defrost heater is not working. It keeps the water line unfrozen too. May need a new timer or new heating element. check the link below for parts and troubleshooting guide
