Where is the cheapest store to buy things for my college dorm?

I'm gonna need 1 laundry basket (instead of a bag so that i can fold my clothes right away-do u think that's a good idea?), 1 under bed containers (i prefer something open), hangers, stepping stool, waste baskets, bed covers adn whatever goes in a set, 2 pillows, bed table, hair dryer, shower rug so that i don't slip again like during orientation, book light..... get the picture? Here are some of the stores I am thinking of: KMart, Target, Anna's Linens, Big Lots, Walmart. Is Anna's Linens the cheapest for the things I need for the toilet and beddings and towels?

I'd say Walmart or target. Walmart is cheaper but Target has better quality.

I noticed Wal-mart and Target now have whole sections out of dorm supplies this time of year. You can pretty much get everything you need in those stores. For the bed table I really like the table mate as it is easy to move around and folds down flat when you're not using it. It is the one they sometimes advertise on TV that has the L-shaped legs. I would also hit the dollar store and see what you can get in there. I have Big Lots in my area and they have a ton of plastic storage bins for sale there at pretty good prices. I was recently in there to pick up a few to store away stuff that I am not currently using.

I had a laundry bag in college, but now that I am out on my own with my own place, I find that I do prefer a basket to a bag in most cases.

I am not familiar with Anna's Linens, but I am guessing they are something like Linens and Things or Bed, Bath and Beyond. For what you need at a good price, the department stores should suffice, but at the same time check their flier to see if they have any special sales or clearances going on.

IKEA!!! They're great for funky and functional pieces for small spaces (like a dorm) and their prices are excellent. For dorm room furnishing, you can't go wrong with Ikea.
