i was at a lake and my phone cam out of my pocket and fell in the water i immediatly realised and took it out and removed the battery. we dried it out (used a hair dryer) but its still being wierd and the speakers are all fizzy and staticy!

what else can i do!!!!

Put your phone in a bag of rice.It works really well.Leave it in there for about a day and try turning it on. Do not try turning it on until it has been in rice for a day.

Dry out the part where the battery goes. And if it dosen't work then go to the brand of phone that you have, go to their website and see how much batteries for your phone are. It sounds like you need a new battery.

You could have had the same fatal problem with your phone if you had dropped it into a pitcher of Poland Springs water. Certainly the dirt does not help but the water itself is enough to destroy the phone components. You could try taking out the battery and rinsing the phone in clean water and then drying it again. I think it is permanently ruined.

Try throwing yourself on the mercy of the phone store by telling them it is not working. At this point you have nothing to lose. If they are feeling in a good mood they can just charge you $50 for a replacement one and then reactivate the new one for you.

Try drying out your phone even more, check if it's even a little bit wet, then dry the actual phone. Check for any wetness. Let it sit next to a fan if needed. But not make the fan tooo powerful, or else it'll be blown away... literally. Then, if your phone still doesn't work then check if your phone has a warranty, then call the company (House phone =P), and tell them about your situation. If the warranty is still active, you should be able to get another of the same phone... if they still make them. Or, maybe, they'll give you another.

Sorry to say, but it probably will never work properly. There is a huge difference between water on your phone and having it go into a lake. The lake has pollutants and crap that are far more harmful then just tap water.Blow drying it, is not going to get that crap out of your phone. Most wireless carrier even though you might have insurance on the phone won't give you a replacement because of water damage. And they put special marks inside the phone that if water gets into the phone those marks disappear and they then know why the phone isn't working properly and know it's not due to the phone going bad b/c of workmanship. Check with your wireless company to verify their replacement policy. There are a lot of people who are constantly selling their phones to get new ones on the Internet if you have to buy a new one to replace your Lake phone ;) Here is one of many links for used cell phones

don't u just hate when things like that happen, try putting it in a car that has been left parked outside and let the sun work its magic, i did this before , it worked. But unfortunately ur phone will never be the same........sorry
