What does electricity have to do with cosmetology?

I am in cosmetology class and need to know what fields of cosmetology work with electricity, besides your common sense basics, like hair dryers and curling irons and such.

Only thing I can think of would be estheticians - a lot of their epuipment for facials and other skin treatments are electrically powered. Also, some nail techs use electrical lights (for drying nails) and power-driven hand-sets with filing burrs, plus electrically heated foot baths

i'm a liscensed cosmetologist, and i dont remember ever learning anything about electricity in hair school

Electrolysis....read the book, it's in there.

How about permanent makeup artists, laser technicians, and cosmetologists who specialize in treatments like microdermabrasion??

What does electricity have to do with cosmetology?

hmm. well, let's think. Considering half of the stuff used by cosmetologists runs through outlets, I would say curling irons, blow dryers, flat irons, personally, I can see the link. Also, about bleaches, chemical, and the bondations of millions of particles to spark electric modules that can cause dry or damaged hair....Not to mention electrolysis. crazy huh!?! think a little, it all comes together sometimes.
