How to get the end of my hair too look like this(Tom Delonge Haircut)?

I got a haircut today exactly like this, except shorter. I also got smoothing cream, and wax. I have a blow dryer and a straightener as well. I just need to know the instructions on how too use each or what to use first. I need the ends/bangs(whatever you wanna call it) to kinda just like stick out. not like swing over, but where it stays put. Any help would be great. thanks

As for the hair, if you have curly hair and you have to straighten it, flip the straightener a little so it will stick.

if you have straight hair and just let it dry without putting a blow dryer to it, flipping your head to the side (which everyone does by habit) it will automatically make it dry like that and stay like that.

if these dont work you can try blowdrying it while holding it where u want it to be.

smoothing cream weights down hair, so if u can avoid putting it on areas that need more volume it would keep them from going flat.

hair wax depends on what kind it is.

water wax can weigh ur hair down to and not keep it in place, same with pomade.

the firm waxes work best to hold hair where u want it to be.

All you woudl have to do with that is put a littel on ur finger tips and stroke the hair with it and leave it where u want.

if you want to use everything you got the steps woudl be this.

1. put the smoothing cream in the damp hair.

2.blow dry it down and in every direction. if there is a spot u want to stick up or not be as flat, hold it up straight and blow dry the roots.

3. straighten your hair, flipping the iron the direction you want the hair to flip. if you need bangs to flip at all, pull it down and the direction you want it to flip and flip the iron under a bit. be sure not to hold it in one spot to long or you will get a crease.

5 apply the wax to the hair, ruffling it and placing it exactly where you want it. Dont brush or comb your hair after using wax because it will leave the marks in it. Too much wax can make your hair look greasy so watch out for that.

use the straightener to just kind of twist your hair to do that flippy thing.

wow...thats natural curl. i know alot of ppl thats hair is like that...including myself. i hate it. its one of the hardest to straighten. but i guess if you want "that look" youd have to straighten it and turn the straightener up and out a little bit to get it to do the lil flippy thing....good luck and experiment cuz it takes a lil bit of practice
