Buy a ceramic straightener. The cheap ones work pretty well- mine was only about 25 bucks. I dry my hair straight with a large round bristle brush, then use the straightener to make it smooth and extra straight. I also use mousse (when it's damp) and a little smoothing cream afterward, followed by a little hairspray. (This does take me a about twenty minutes altogether, so half the time I just go to work with my hair in a clip)

Have you maybe tried that Frizz-Ease stuff? I've used Brilliant Brunette (I saw that your avatar was brunette, guessed that you were) and that's a pretty good line as well.
